Christmas Programme 2009

Wednesday 23rd December

We look forward to greeting you from 2 o'clock on Wednesday.  Early arrivals can be accommodated by prior arrangement.

Once you have settled in please join us for tea and mince pies in the Lounge or enjoy an Oscar-winning movie with ice cream and popcorn in the Party Room.  The shops are just 15 minutes away for last minute shopping.

Meet your hosts and fellow guests in the evening for drinks at the welcome cocktail party and then to dinner in Langham's One Rosette Restaurant where carol singers will start the festive mood.  Later there is live entertainment with Graham Kendall and a casino with fun money and a prize of a bottle of champagne for the highest roller!

Christmas Eve (Thursday 24th December)

After breakfast, visit the town for some last minute shopping before an early pre-threatre lunch.  We will then take you to the Devonsire Park Theatre for this year's family pantomime 'Jack and the Beanstalk'.  Alternatiely attend the Festival of Lights and Carols at St. Saviour's Church or watch a film and relax with a packet of popcorn.

Dinner is served in the Langham Restaurant followed by a game of Bingo in the Lounge or live entertainment in the Party Room with Fletch, who sings the greats from the 70's, 80's and 90's.  At 10.35 pm we will take those who wish to attend Midnight Mass to the church of their choice by taxi.

Christmas Day (Friday 25th December)

Wake up to join the Christmas revellers for a glass of mulled wine and the chance to join in or watch an early Christmas swim in the sea opposite the hotel.  This sets you up for a hearty breakfast with Bucks Fizz before a stroll along the seafront to the Bandstand to enjoy the Silver Band playing all your Christmas favourites.

A traditional Christmas Lunch is served at midday, with live music, and - if you are good - a visit from Santa Claus, followed by the Queen's Speech at 3 o'clock.  Then a quick game of Bingo, and settle down for a blockbuster movie with tea and Christmas cake.  A light supper follows with live entertainment from Richie McGowan, wo will serenade you with his guitar.

Boxing Day (Saturday 26th December)

Start the day with a leisurely breakfast, followed by a stroll along the front to see Eastbourne's Dance Band play Big Band favourites at the Bandstand.  A light Boxng Day Lunch puts you in the mood for the Tea Dance at the Winter Gardens in town or Bingo in the Lounge.  If not, there will be a good film showing in the Party Room.

A Gala Boxing Day Dinner is followed by the chance to gamble with £100,000 at the Casino and dancing to a live band, The Cattch.  Prize winners will be announced for the competitions which have been running throughout the Christmas period.

Sunday 27th December

After  breakfast we wish you a fond farewell, or why not stay another day, departing on Bank Holiday Monday.  Enjoy dinner in the Restaurant followed by entertainment with John Romero and his accordion.

We look forward to seeing you again in 2010.

Rates

Four day stay between Wednesday 23rd and  Monday 28th December 2009, with all activities mentioned except transport to  Midnight Mass and the Tea Dance

£535.00 per person
£565.00 per person for Superior and Seaview rooms
£595.00 per person for Four Poster Seaview rooms


Stay an extra day for £80.00 per person on a half board basis

Children sharing an adult's room sleep free and are charged for meals as taken

A booking fee of £50.00 is required on confrmation with 50% deposit by 1st September, and the balance payable on departure.


New Year's Eve - Thursday 31st December
Four course Gala Dinner with live cabaret, fireworks and dancing until 1.00 am
